ATP 250 Gstaad quarterfinals
Tsitsipas – Fognini: 19.07.2024 15:00 CEST
H2H: 4-0
Stefanos Tsitsipas has won four of his last five matches. Two weeks ago at Wimbledon, Tsitsipas lost against Ruusuvuori in the second round. Here in Gstaad, Stefanos won his second round match against Medjedovic in tight straight sets. So far this season on the clay, Tsitsipas has won the title in Monte Carlo and reached the final in Barcelona, where he lost against Casper Ruud. This was his debut tournament in Gstaad. In his previous years, Stefanos played in Hamburg.
Fabio Fognini has won three of his last five matches. Last week at Wimbledon, Fabio reached the third round where he lost against Bautista-Agut in five tight sets. Here in Gstaad, Fabio won his first round match against Droguet in straight sets. He played great tennis and won deservingly. In the second round, Fabio won against Varillas in three tight sets after spending almost three hours on the court. So far this season, Fabio has not had any remarkable results on the clay courts. Last year in Gstaad, Fognini lost in the first round of the tournament against Ramos-Vinolas in three sets.
Best Bet to Make
According to the bookies, Stefanos is the huge favorite in this matchup. Fabio is 37 years old, and after playing such an exhausting match, we believe that he will be tired on the court. Stefanos is one of the best clay court players at the moment, so we believe that he will win this match easily in straight sets.
That being said, Tsitsipas winning in straight sets is a value bet.

Berrettini – Auger-Aliassime: 19.07.2024 17:30 CEST
H2H: 4-2
Matteo Berrettini has won three of his last five matches. Two weeks ago at Wimbledon, Matteo lost against Jannik Sinner in the second round in four tight sets as we predicted. Here in the first round, Matteo defeated Cachin in straight sets as we predicted. In the second round, Matteo won against Galan in straight sets once again, as we predicted. So far this season, Berrettini has won seven of the eight clay court matches he has played. Last time he played in Gstaad was in 2022, where he lost against Casper Ruud in the final.
Felix Auger-Aliassime has won three of his last five matches. Two weeks ago at Wimbledon, Auger lost his first round match against Kokkinakis as we predicted. Here in Gstaad, Felix won his first round match against Hanfmann in straight sets. His biggest clay court result this season was reaching the final in Madrid, where he lost against Andrey Rublev in three tight sets.
Best Bet to Make
According to the bookies, Berrettini is the slight favorite in this matchup. Matteo has already lifted the title this season on clay, and we believe that he is overall a better clay court player than Auger-Aliassime.
That being said, Berrettini winning is a value bet.
