According to the bookies, Fils is the slight favorite in this matchup. Both players have not been brilliant lately. We expect a very tight match that could go on either side. They are both inconsistent, so we do not expect them to finish this match easily.

Fabian Marozsan has lost four of his last five matches. The last match he played was two weeks ago at Wimbledon, where he lost against Struff in four sets. His last clay court match was at the French Open where he lost in the second round against Dimitrov in straight sets. So far this season, Marozsan has played eight clay court matches and has a losing 3-5 record. Marozsan is looking to win some points here in Hamburg, in order to stay in the top 50.
Holger Rune has won four of his last five matches. Last week at Wimbledon, Rune reached the 1/8-Finals where he lost against Djokovic in straight sets. His last clay court match was at the French Open where he lost against Zverev in the 1/8-Finals. Rune is also looking to regain his form and confidence. He is still a top 20 player, but if he keeps playing like this, he might drop out of the top 20 soon enough. Last time he played in Hamburg was in 2022, where he lost against Griekspoor in the first round.
Best Bet to Make
According to the bookies, Rune is the clear favorite in this matchup. We expect him to do well here. Marozsan is completely out of form, and his clay court performances were poor this season.
