ATP 250 Mallorca 1/16-Finals
Eubanks – Mensik: 25.06.2024 Time TBA
H2H: first meeting
Chris Eubanks has lost three of his last five matches. Last week in Halle, Eubanks reached the quarterfinals where he lost against Zhang in three sets. It was a solid tournament from Eubanks, who is trying to find his best form right before Wimbledon. Eubanks is the defending champion here in Mallorca. On his title run, Eubanks won against a couple of very good grass court players. Chris is a great grass court player, his best results came exactly on this surface.
Jakub Mensik has lost four of his last five matches. Mensik had a breakthrough season. However, the injuries stopped his great run. Last week in Halle, Mensik lost in the first qualifying round against Otte in straight sets. So far in his career, Jakub has played only four matches on grass, and has a losing 1-3 record. Even though his playing style would fit this surface, Mensik still finds it hard. In his last match against Otte, Jakub was struggling on his serve, and just could not get any rhythm going on.
Best Bet to Make
According to the bookies, Eubanks is just a slight favorite in this matchup. The defending champion is a way better and more experienced grass court player than Mensik. We believe that he will have another great week here in Mallorca.
That being said, Eubanks winning is a value bet.

Jubb – Marterer: 25.06.2024 Time TBA
H2H: first meeting
Paul Jubb has won three of his last five matches. Last week in London, Jubb lost in the qualifying tournament against McDonald in straight sets. Here in Mallorca, Paul fought through the qualifying tournament by winning both matches in straight sets. In the first qualifying round, Jubb won against Nadal. We need to mention that he played against John Nadal, and not Rafael Nadal. Yesterday, Jubb won against Monteiro in two easy sets. Jubb loves playing on grass, and has already won a lot of matches this season on grass.
Maximilian Marterer has won three of his last five matches. Two weeks ago, Marterer lost in the first qualifying round in Stuttgart against Martineau. Here in Mallorca, Marterer also fought through the qualifying tournament. In the first qualifying round, Marterer defeated Saville in straight sets. Yesterday, Marterer won against Shelbayh in three tough sets. It was overall a low-quality match, with both players missing easy shots. This was his second grass court tournament of the season.
Best Bet to Make
According to the bookies, this should be a 50-50 match. Marterer is a solid grass court player. Last year at Wimbledon, Marterer reached the 1/16-Finals where he lost against Alexander Bublik. He has more experience than Jubb playing at the highest level, so we believe that his experience will prevail in this match.
That being said, Marterer winning is a value bet.
