ATP Madrid semifinals
Fritz – Rublev: 03.05.2024 16:00 CEST
H2H: 5-3
Taylor Fritz had a great tournament so far in Madrid. His toughest match so far was yesterday against Cerundolo, where he won in three sets. Before that match, Fritz won all of his matches here in Madrid in straight sets. He made history by becoming the first American to reach the semifinals at the Madrid Masters since 2005. Two weeks ago, Fritz reached the final in Munich where he lost against Struff in straight sets. He made great progress this season on the clay, and we can expect some good results from him at the French Open later this month.
Andrey Rublev has won four of his last five matches. Before the ATP Masters 1000 Madrid, Rublev lost four straight matches. He was struggling mentally, and just could not control his emotions on the court. Here in Madrid, Rublev won his first three matches in straight sets. Yesterday, Andrey completed a comeback against Carlos Alcaraz. Rublev won in three sets against the defending champion and showed us how good he is on any surface. We believe that this win was much needed for him to get his self-confidence and trust back.
Best Bet to Make
According to the bookies, Andrey Rublev is a slight favorite in this matchup. Even though Fritz has had an amazing tournament so far, we believe that Rublev is currently a better clay court player. His last match against Alcaraz was just great, and we believe that he will win against Fritz as well.
That being said, Rublev winning is a value bet.

Auger-Aliassime – Lehecka: 03.05.2024 20:00 CEST
H2H: 0-1
Felix Auger-Aliassime has had some luck so far in Madrid. He did not have to step up on the court against Sinner in the quarterfinal. Jannik Sinner had to withdraw from the tournament due to a hip injury. So far, Auger has played three full matches in Madrid. He won against Ruud in his last match in straight sets. Casper Ruud looked exhausted, and was just not fully ready. However, we have to give credit to Auger-Aliassime who played smartly and deserved to win. Felix is yet to reach the final of a Masters tournament.
Jiri Lehecka has won all of his matches in straight sets so far. Two nights ago, Lehecka secured the most memorable victory of his career. He defeated Rafael Nadal in straight sets on the clay as we predicted, something you do not see too often. Lehecka seemed unaffected by the atmosphere and the meaning of that match. We have to mention that Nadal is nowhere near his best level, but it is still tough to win against the best clay court player of all time. Yesterday, Medvedev had to retire after losing the first set, so Lehecka did not spend much time on the court.
Best Bet to Make
According to the bookies, Lehecka is just the slight favorite in this matchup. We believe that he can handle the pressure better than Auger-Aliassime. Lehecka seemed fearless so far in Madrid, and we believe that this will be the main reason why he will win against Auger-Aliassime tomorrow.
That being said, Lehecka winning is a value bet.
