Elena Rybakina had a tough last match in Miami against Sakkari. She had to fight for almost three hours to win! Rybakina had a chance to close the match in the second set when she could not convert 2 match points. After that, Rybakina lost the second set in the tiebreak. Rybakina was serving well in the third set and did not offer any breakpoints. She broke Sakkari´s serve once and that was enough to close the match. Before this match, Rybakina had two tough matches against Tauson and Townsend. We must mention that before this tournament, Rybakina was ill, so she had a one-month break. Her opponent, Azarenka, also had a pretty tough last match, here in Miami. She won against Putintseva after playing for exactly three hours. Azarenka saved three set points in the first set. After that, she lost the second set 1-6. In the third set, Azarenka´s experience paid off! She saved two break points in the first game and after that she picked up her game and closed the match easily! Azarenka had a poor performance at Indian Wells two weeks ago. She lost against Dolehide in three sets. All being said, we believe that Rybakina is one of the biggest favorites to win this tournament. She also won all three head-to-head matches against Azarenka, and we believe that she will continue that streak today!

Ekaterina Alexandrova had another incredible performance as she won against Pegula in the quarterfinals as we predicted! Last year, Alexandrova reached the quarterfinals in Miami. This year, Alexandrova went one step further, and now she will face Collins in her biggest semifinal. She did not have any big results this season, but that has changed now. Alexandrova was all over the place against Pegula. After winning against Swiatek, Alexandrova got more self-confidence, and she looked great on the court. Her opponent tonight, Danielle Collins, won easily in the quarterfinals against Garcia as we predicted. Collins played the best tennis so far in the tournament. After losing the first set in the first round against Pera, Collins played incredibly well. She has won 10 sets in a row and just looks unstoppable. As we already said, Collins mentioned that this is her last season due to all the injuries she has suffered in her career. In her last match against Garcia, Collins won 90% points on her first serve. She did not offer any breakpoints. It is a big advantage when you serve well in women’s tennis. Not many players win easy points on the serve like Collins does. We expect another great performance from Collins. She even had more time to rest than Alexandrova while spending less time on the court in the quarterfinals. If she can serve well like she did in the quarterfinals, Collins should win easily yet again! Alexandrova showed us a lot, but we believe that she can not keep playing like that. Collins is way more experienced, and we believe that her experience will prevail in this match tonight!
