ATP Hamburg Semifinal Predictions Including Carlos Alcaraz vs Alex Molcan

Just four men remain to fight for the trophy in Hamburg, Germany. The 2022 edition of the ATP Hamburg European Open has been nothing short of exciting tennis throughout the whole week and the last couple of days should follow in similar fashion. As ever, we at LWOT preview and predict both semifinals for you.

ATP Hamburg Semifinal Predictions

Francisco Cerundolo vs Lorenzo Musetti

Head to head – First Meeting

What a fabulous run of form Francisco Cerundolo is having the past couple of weeks. The Argentine could’ve been fatigued entering this tournament but so far he has looked extremely fresh. Aslan Karatsev did give him a run for his money but Cerundolo had the composure to nab the win.

Lorenzo Musetti plays an exciting clay court brand of tennis and that has suited him well this week. The Italian has taken out quality opponents but he hasn’t played a player in the form that Cerundolo is. Expect another tight match throughout with the Argentine just hanging on.
Prediction: Cerundolo in 3

Carlos Alcaraz vs Alex Molcan

Head to head – First Meeting

Alex Molcan has played well so far this year under the watchful guidance of Novak Djokovic’s ex coach Marian Vajda. The Slovak is an aggressive clay courter and has strung together good weeks of performance in 2022. Unfortunately for him he now takes on the No. 1 seed in red hot form in Carlos Alcaraz.

The Spaniard is heating up again after a mediocre Wimbledon. Alcaraz blew away a quality opponent in Karen Khachanov and lost just two games en route to the win. No signs of Alcaraz showing down.
Prediction: Alcaraz in 2
