WTA Madrid Day 3 Predictions Including Petra Kvitova vs Angelique Kerber

Kvitova Stuttgart 2021

Second round action gets underway in Madrid at the WTA Madrid Open with the likes of Angelique Kerber, Petra Kvitova, and Iga Swiatek in action. We have predictions for all of the matches on Saturday.

WTA Madrid Day 3 Predictions

Anastasija Sevastova vs Johanna Konta

The qualifier from Latvia has split meetings with Konta who has been a bit limited this season. Sevastova’s match record on the year is respectable and her form is good, an upset appears to be well poised here. Sevastova in 3

Laura Siegemund vs Iga Swiatek

12-5 in 2021 and excellent on clay, Swiatek already has a WTA title in 2021, and last year’s French Open champion is hungry for more. The qualifier Siegemund is a capable player who isn’t playing bad tennis, but the gap between these players should still be quite noticeable on court. Swiatek in 2

Petra Kvitova vs Angelique Kerber

Kvitova vs Kerber round 14, as Kerber leads the h2h narrowly 7-6 across surfaces. Kvitova will be favored this time, Kerber has been subpar this season and Kvitova has shown more signs of top level tennis. This will be a good matchup, but the Czech is favored. Kvitova in 3

Bernarda Pera vs Belinda Bencic

Another qualifier that won their first round match, Pera is into round 2 and is clearly playing her best tennis of the season. Bencic is a steady .500 on the year and isn’t great on clay. This match is an upset alert as well as Pera is capable of stepping up and challenging Bencic. I still expect the Swiss to survive their first meeting however. Bencic in 3
