ATP Rosmalen Day 3 Predictions Including Borna Coric vs Taylor Fritz

Taylor Fritz ATP Rosmalen

The top seeds come into play in round two at the 2019 Rosmalen Grass Court Championships. Taylor Fritz versus Borna Coric looks like the most interesting matchup. Who will prevail?

ATP Rosmalen Day 3 Predictions

Jordan Thompson vs Frances Tiafoe

Head-to-head: 1-0 Tiafoe

Thompson did very well to defeat Tommy Paul, who gave quite a scare to Dominic Thiem in the first round of the French Open. However, the Aussie’s all-round game shouldn’t be enough to handle Frances Tiafoe, who has very unique, yet extremely powerful groundstrokes. The American would have to have an extremely bad day at the office to give Thompson a shot here.
Prediction: Tiafoe in 2

Alex De Minaur vs Andreas Seppi

Head-to-head: 1-1

Seppi finally snapped his eight-match losing streak against Thomas Fabbiano in the first round, but we don’t think he’ll win another one. He’s a very fine grass court player but against De Minaur it’s sort of as if he met his younger counterpart. The Australian is much faster and more powerful and will be delighted to be back on grass after a very disappointing clay court season where he won just one match in four attempts.
Prediction: De Minaur in 3

Christian Garin vs Robin Haase

Head-to-head: First meeting

One of the main heroes of the clay court season, Garin managed to make a very good transition to grass, beating a qualifier Salvatore Caruso in straight sets on Monday. Haase didn’t have the best of starts but somehow managed to scrape through a victory against Ugo Humbert in a third-set tie-break. It should be very close and that little benefit of the crowd support might just give the Dutchman the edge.
Prediction: Haase in 3

Taylor Fritz vs Borna Coric

Head-to-head: Coric 2-0

The most exciting matchup of this round. Coric’s results on grass are a little bit of a rollercoaster–e.g. winning last year’s Halle final over Roger Federer just to bail out in Wimbledon first round. Taylor Fritz has a game based on a very good serve and a rocket of a forehand and should have a very good shot to beat the second seed tomorrow, especially if Coric can’t get into his rhythm due to the surface change.
Prediction: Fritz in 3
