WTA Wimbledon quarterfinal action begins on Tuesday. No Aryna Sabalenka, no Elena Rybakina, no Iga Swiatek. The top three seeds are all out of Wimbledon, unable to make the quarterfinals. The only two players ranked in the top seven are Coco Gauff and Jessica Pegula. They will meet in one very big quarterfinal match. Another quarterfinal has Naomi Osaka, fresh off her upset of Sabalenka, playing former major finalist Karolina Muchova. Most tennis experts would say at this point that whoever comes out of this part of the bracket, in the top half of the women’s draw, will be favored in the final this coming Saturday and will likely win a first Wimbledon championship. None of the eight quarterfinalists have won the WTA Wimbledon singles crown, so history will be made later this week. LWOS has our best bet for two matches. Pegula – Gauff: 8:30 EST
H2H: 5-3
The WTA Wimbledon championships continue with the best quarterfinal match of the four, including the two which will be played on Wednesday. The first of the four quarterfinals is the one which deserves the most attention. Jessica Pegula is the number four seed, Coco Gauff the number seven seed. Pegula has moved up to number three in the live rankings while Gauff has moved up to the top five of the live rankings. They are both searching for a first Wimbledon title, but more than that, a win at Wimbledon would enable them to achieve some rankings-based goals later in 2026. Pegula would have a shot at No. 1 if she can win Wimbledon. She would greatly close the gap separating her from the top two of Sabalenka and Rybakina. If Gauff wins Wimbledon, she would have an excellent chance of finishing the year at No. 3 and could then make an attempt at rising to No. 1 in 2027. Pegula and Gauff are both coming off three-set wins in the previous round of this WTA Wimbledon tournament. Pegula survived against Iva Jovic. Gauff rallied to beat Belinda Bencic. Both players lost the first set and then won the last two.
Best Bet to Make
Coco Gauff is a tough player and a great competitor, but grass is just not her best surface. She is better on both clay and hardcourts. She got by Belinda Bencic, but she still isn’t playing dominant tennis. Jessica Pegula is a better tennis player than Bencic, and she is aiming for her first Wimbledon championship, also her first major championship. Pegula showed a lot of composure in overcoming Iva Jovic. She struggled early but gained rhythm and form as that match went on. Pegula is just not likely to falter if things get difficult against Gauff. Having played Gauff eight times and having won five of the eight times, Pegula knows what to expect from Gauff and should therefore be able to handle what is thrown her way. You could put a small amount of money on over 2.5 sets, but the main play is Pegula moneyline.
That being said, betting on Pegula winning is a value bet for sure.

Osaka – Muchova: Time 10:00 EST
H2H: 3-3
This WTA Wimbledon quarterfinal could be special. Naomi Osaka is one of the best baseline ballstrikers in women’s tennis. It’s how she won four major titles. When she is playing well, she’s an elite power player, someone who serves forcefully and simply hits a hard, flat shot better than most of her peers on the tour. Karolina Muchova is an all-court player, someone who can hit any kind of shot from any angle, with variations in pace, spin, and placement. Osaka is pure power; Muchova has a variety of approaches. It’s the kind of match a tennis fan should love, between two very different opponents who will test each other precisely because they play opposite styles. Osaka just beat World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka in straight sets. Muchova just beat 2024 WTA Wimbledon champion Barbora Krejcikova. Both are quality wins, so both players are in form entering this quarterfinal.
Best Bet to Make
Naomi Osaka has not been good on grass in her career. She has struggled on the surface for years. It has been wise to bet against Osaka on grass in the past. This year, however, it is harder to do so. Osaka looks better on grass than ever before, and by a large margin. She dominated Sabalenka on Sunday in the Round of 16. She controlled the match the whole way. She served extremely well. When she is serving well, Osaka is hard to beat on any surface. On grass, having a big serve matters a lot. Muchova is a very good player, and she figures to test Osaka in this match, but Osaka should be the favorite and is getting a good price for her moneyline. You can sprinkle a small amount of money on over 2.5 sets, but the main play is Osaka moneyline.
That being said, betting on Osaka winning is a value bet for sure.
