Jasmine Paolini will take on Alexandra Eala at Wimbledon in only their second career match. The two met earlier this year at WTA Dubai, which Eala won in straight sets, though the second set went to a tiebreak. Paolini is a former Wimbledon finalist. She made the final in 2024, when she would lose to Barbora Krejcikova in a three-set classic. Paolini knows what it’s like to be just a few sets from a Wimbledon title only to end up losing. Eala has only played in two Wimbledon tournaments and had never made it past the first round before this year. Now she finds herself as the favorite heading into a match against Paolini, not only as a lower-seeded player in the tournament itself, but also as the lower-ranked player in the World rankings. Truly odd.
Best Bet to Make
Eala is the favorite on the books, and it’s pretty universal. Not only is Eala 12-3 on grass in 2026, but she has a title on grass from WTA Birmingham and made the semifinals at WTA Berlin. Paolini is 3-1 on grass, with all of her wins coming at Wimbledon. There’s also the matter of her being 15-12 overall while Eala is 31-17. Eala is playing better, sharper, and with more intention than Paolini right now. It honestly feels like Paolini can’t be bothered, and I feel like Eala is far more trustworthy as a selection as a result. You can make money picking Eala straight, but if you trust in her abilities, a correct score bet will take you much further at 2.55 on Interwetten.

Our final match of the morning at Wimbledon is Madison Keys against Linda Noskova. Keys has been a problem for people as of late. She’s 9-1 in her last ten, and she’s coming off a tournament title at Eastbourne before Wimbledon. She’s won eight matches in a row, and she has 10 overall wins on grass to just one loss. Linda Noskova is no slouch, though. Noskova is 8-2 in her last ten matches, with a tournament title at WTA Berlin. She has eight wins on grass compared to only one loss. Both women have one tournament title in 2026, and they have similar overall records.
Best Bet to Make
Even though Keys is the lower-seeded and lower-ranked player in this match, she finds herself a favorite just like Alexandra Eala. It makes me curious if this occurs frequently. Keys is 29-10 this year, and Noskova is 25-11. The average line is about 1.67-2.21 in favor of Keys, and I’m sure that is because of her winning streak and overall recent play. I do think Keys is the better player here, but I am fully aware of Noskova’s talent. As such, I think taking Keys straight up at 1.72 is the smartest play here. Don’t fool around with possibilities when you can get a solid return off a simple bet. You know I love to keep it simple.
