An impressive 12 matches are on the schedule at the HSBC Championships at Queen’s Club on Tuesday, with all of the top seeds ready to debut at the ATP 500 grass court event. LWOT has the preview for all of the matchups, with this set of predictions featuring home favorite Cameron Norrie and the virtuosic Alejandro Davidovich Fokina.
ATP Queen’s Club Day 2 Predictions
Arthur Fery vs Toby Samuel
Head-to-head: First meeting
An all-Brit toss-up will kick off the day in London, with Samuel looking for a first-ever win at Tour level. Fery pulled off a stunning first-round win as a wild card at the 2025 Wimbledon Championships, surely something fresh in his mind as he returns to home soil. As a star college player, Fery peaked near the top of the NCAA doubles rankings, and he’s no stranger to the net. Meanwhile, Samuel has produced a stunning 25-9 record overall in 2026, tearing apart ATP Challengers and climbing the ranks. This match could go either way, but the occasion might be a little too big for Samuel given Fery’s grander success at home.
Prediction: Fery in 3
Jenson Brooksby vs Martin Damm
Head-to-head: First meeting
Damm pushed Alex de Minaur last week at the Libema Open, as the American is edging closer to a Top 100 debut. He cruised his way through qualifying at this tournament, and his big serve should be able to overpower Brooksby’s defense. Brooksby has now endured a tough nine-match losing streak, as he’ll feel more comfortable on hard courts where he’s had his greatest success.
Prediction: Damm in 2
Alexsandar Kovacevic vs Francisco Cerundolo
Head-to-head: Cerundolo 1-0
In a battle of strong servers and net enthusiasts, Kovacevic lost the other day in the final round of qualifying to Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard. As a lucky loser, however, he should feel good about his chances against the No. 7 seed; the Argentine possesses a surprising 7-11 record on these courts, despite his offensive game. Cerundolo was too strong for the American in their first meeting at the 2023 Miami Open, but Kovacevic was ranked more than 40 spots lower than his current position at that tournament. I still think Cerundolo might have too much left in the tank here, with Kovacevic 1-3 since a big semifinal run at the ATP Hamburg Open.
Prediction: Cerundolo in 3
Cameron Norrie vs Alejandro Davidovich Fokina
Head-to-head: Davidovich Fokina 2-0
Norrie, the 2022 Wimbledon semifinalist, will have to improve his game a lot if he wants to make a deep run at his home Grand Slam later this month. The Brit hasn’t played his best here, with a 6-9 record and a losing streak dating back to 2023. Davidovich Fokina looked wayward at times in a loss to Mattia Bellucci at the grass-court event in Stuttgart last week. The Spaniard, similarly, is on a losing streak at this tournament, and might not be able to overcome the hurdle of a partisan crowd. Look for Norrie to get his first win over the higher-ranked No. 4 seed.
Prediction: Norrie in 3
