Alex de Minaur in action ahead of ATP Den Bosch.

ATP Queen’s Club Day 2 Predictions Including Alex De Minaur vs Gabriel Diallo

An impressive 12 matches are on the schedule at the HSBC Championships at the Queen’s Club on Tuesday, with all of the top seeds ready to debut at the ATP 500 grass court event. LWOT has the preview for all of the matchups, with this set of predictions featuring both the No. 1 and No. 2 seeds: Alex de Minaur and Jiri Lehecka.

ATP Queen’s Club Day 2 Predictions

Ugo Humbert vs Marin Cilic

Head-to-head: Humbert 1-0

Humbert’s strong serve suits him on grass courts, but he’s looked rather sluggish on the faster courts in 2026; he was upset by Benjamin Bonzi in the Libema Open second round. At that same event, Cilic pushed Daniil Medvedev to a third set in the quarterfinals. The 2017 Wimbledon finalist stunned Jack Draper at Wimbledon last year, and his experience on the grass courts always makes him a tough opponent to face. As a two-time winner of this tournament in 2012 and 2018, I like his chances to beat the fellow fast-court enthusiast.
Prediction: Cilic in 3

Rinky Hijikata vs Alejandro Tabilo

Head-to-head: First meeting

Hijikata had to battle through two tough qualifying matches, while Tabilo will take to the court for the first time since a strong fourth round run at French Open. Both players are fast movers and can outsmart one another, but the Aussie has a bit more to lose in this matchup. Tabilo has a grass-court title to his name in 2024, but injuries sidelined him for the entire 2025 grass court season. The turnaround could be tough for the Chilean, and Hijikata may pull off a small upset.
Prediction: Hijikata in 3

Kamil Majchrzak vs Jiri Lehecka

Head-to-head: First meeting

Majchrzak produced a stunning performance just this past weekend, upsetting Alex de Minaur in the Libema Open final to hoist his first ATP Tour trophy. The Pole had to face lots of adversity during a rain-filled week, as there’s surely some possibilities that the wear and tear of tennis may catch up to him. Lehecka produced a steady run to the Stuttgart Open semifinals last weekend, before falling in a thriller to Ben Shelton–a heartbreaking match that saw the Czech fail to convert on two match points. He should be rested and recovered for this tournament.
Prediction: Lehecka in 2

Alex de Minaur vs Gabriel Diallo

Head-to-head: De Minaur 2-0

Diallo has been on a poor run in 2026, while injuries have also plagued the 24-year-old Canadian in recent months. As one of the taller players on the ATP Tour, his serve can always do damage on these fast grass courts. De Minaur reached the final of this tournament in 2023, though he’s yet to win a match at Queen’s Club since then. The Aussie will have to recover fast after a brutal Libema Open final loss–one that ended on a shocking third-set tiebreak double fault. Diallo’s inconsistencies may cost him this match, but the quick adjustment to a new tournament could make this match a back-and-forth affair.
Prediction: De Minaur in 3
