The WTA Queen’s Club round of 16 continues on Wednesday. The WTA Tour shifts into grass season right after the end of Roland-Garros. Queen’s Club is a WTA 500 event in England. With tour players having just three weeks before Wimbledon, most pros will attempt to play at least two of those three weeks, maybe allowing one week for rest. Because the grass season is so short, players need to get used to the surface, since they don’t usually practice on it for most of the year, especially in the offseason. Players need the match play as much as they need the paycheck and the ranking points. LWOS has our best bets for the first three matches. Post your best bets and thoughts in the comments.

Cirstea – Raducanu: Time 6:30 EST
H2H: 1-1
Sorana-Mihaela Cirstea faces Emma Raducanu in their second match of the year and their third overall. Cirstea overcame Raducanu in the WTA Cluj-Napoca 2 final, losing only two games in the entire match. Their only other match was a 2021 Wimbledon third-round meeting, which Raducanu would win 6-3,7-5. Cirstea has only lost ten matches the entire year, dropping five on clay and five on a hardcourt. Raducanu had a quarterfinal appearance to start her season in Hobart, but outside of the aforementioned final in Romania, she hasn’t had any success in 2026. I wouldn’t pick Queen’s Club to be the place where she gets it going, either.
Best Bet to Make
The grass surface makes this match more interesting than it otherwise might have been, as neither lady is very good on grass. While Cirstea is the consensus favorite at Queen’s Club, she’s only a favorite by .10-points, on average. Some sites even have this as a push. I think Cirstea is playing much better tennis than Raducanu, but Cirstea has not been the best on grass throughout her career. The grass surface is ultimately becoming the great equalizer in this match, but I still think Cirstea will prevail at Queen’s Club. I think the wise move is to take Cirstea straight up, as the returns will be solid enough either way. I’d go with 1.93 on Betfair as my top choice for a wager.
That being said, betting on Cirstea winning is a value bet for sure.

Rybakina – Maria: Time 9:30 EST
H2H: 1–1
Elena Rybakina must be having a case of deja vu as she meets Tatiana Maria at Queen’s Club for the second straight year. Their quarterfinal match in 2025 was a back-and-forth slugfest, which Maria would win in two very hard-fought sets. The second set would actually go to a tiebreaker. Their other meeting was a 2023 second-round match in Beijing. Rybakina would win that match in straight sets, winning the second set 6-0 after a 7-5 first set. Maria would go on to win the 2025 Queen’s Club tournament. If she wants to repeat, she’s going to have to go through Rybakina one more time, but she’s not in the best form this time around.

Best Bet to Make
Rybakina has lost a total of eight matches in 2026, and Maria has only 15 total wins in 2026. The best thing going for Maria right now is that she’s 4-1 in grass matches in ‘26. Rybakina has two titles in ‘26, winning WTA Stuttgart and the Australian Open. After a disappointing French Open performance, fans can expect the World No. 2 to put on a showing worthy of her ranking. I like Rybakina winning in straight sets for 1.73 on William Hill.
That being said, betting on Rybakina winning 2:0 is a value bet for sure.
Value bet/ the best odds: Rybakina winning 2:0 @1.73 @WilliamHill
Cristian – Boulter: Time 11:00 EST
H2H: 1-2
Jaqueline Cristian and Katie Boulter will extend their rivalry to a fourth game overall. Boulter has taken the last two matches, including their 2026 round-of-16 match at WTA Rouen. This will be their first match on grass, as they’ve somehow managed to play on a different surface in every single match they have played in total. Cristian is 3-12 in her career on grass, but Boulter is 56-36 on grass overall, and most of her losses came earlier in her career.
Best Bet to Make
The books have Boulter as a solid favorite, and I imagine this is due to a combination of her overall grass record and Boulter’s recent record against Cristian. It’s hard to be confident in Cristian when she’s playing on grass. It’s not just that she has single-digit wins on the surface, but it’s how she has lost every other match, as well. I think this match will play out closer to their 2022 Tallin match indoors, and Boulter should win 2:0.
That being said, betting on Boulter winning 2:0 is a value bet for sure.
