Ekaterina Alexandrova in action ahead of the WTA Seoul Open.

WTA French Open First Round Best Bets Including Camila Osorio vs Ekaterina Alexandrova

The WTA French Open action continues on Monday. The 2026 edition of Roland Garros goes into the second day of first-round competition. The first round started on Sunday and will end on Tuesday, as the field goes from 128 down to 64. There are so many matches and stories to keep track of. Which top seeds are in danger? Which floaters in the draw will begin to pick up momentum, which could flow into the rest of the tournament? These and other interesting questions will soon be answered. LWOS has our best bets for three matches on Monday. Post your best bets and thoughts in the comments.

WTA French Open

Rakhimova – Cristian: Time 10:30 EST

H2H: 3-1

Kamilla Rakhimova faces Jaqueline Cristian. Rakhimova has lost her last four matches. She is 1-4 in this clay season. She hasn’t played a lot and hasn’t won a lot. She is not entering the French Open with much of any momentum. Cristian made a solid run to the Strasbourg semifinals this past week. She also made the third round in Madrid, putting together a respectable clay season, certainly a lot better than what Rakhimova has been able to do.

Best Bet to Make

There is a large gap between Rakhimova’s clay results in 2026 and Cristian’s clay results. Cristian is the generally better player overall, and she is the current in-form player of the two. This doesn’t need to be a more complicated bet. Cristian in straight sets pays reasonably well and it should hit. That’s the kind of bet to make: one with a decent price and which inspires a good degree of confidence.

That being said, betting on Cristian winning 2:0 is a value bet for sure.

Osorio – Alexandrova: Time 10:30 EST

H2H: 2–0

Camila Osorio faces Ekaterina Alexandrova. This is a match where WTA world rankings do not offer any indication of which player is better or more likely to win. Alexandrova is World No. 14, while Osorio is No. 77. Yet, Alexandrova is 1-4 in this spring clay season. She has not had a very good 2026 season at all. Osorio is 5-2 in her last seven matches. She has won seven clay matches in 2026 compared to Alexandrova’s one. Osorio also has the head-to-head lead in this matchup. Does Alexandrova’s much higher world ranking offset all of Osorio’s other advantages?

Best Bet to Make

The fact that Alexandrova is ranked 63 spots higher than Osorio doesn’t seem to matter much. Osorio has everything else going in her favor in this matchup. The main thing is that Osorio is very comfortable on clay, as her seven clay match wins this year indicate. She is an in-form player with a good match record in her recent weeks of clay tennis. Osorio is priced as the favorite because she should be the favorite. The moneyline price isn’t amazing, but it’s reasonable.

That being said, betting on Osorio winning is a value bet for sure.

Shnaider – Zarazua: Time 10:30 EST

H2H: 0–0

Diana Shnaider faces Renata Zarazua. Shnaider is ranked World No. 25. Zarazua is No. 72. Shnaider is 3-4 in her last seven matches, but the four losses have come to high-profile opponents: Naomi Osaka, Belinda Bencic, Elena Rybakina, and Jessica Pegula. Zarazua is a streaky player. She won five matches in a row to win the Charlottesville challenger event. Then she lost her next four matches to enter the French Open on a down note. Which version of Zarazua will show up for this match?

Best Bet to Make

These are two inconsistent players, but Shnaider is priced as a heavy favorite because she has been competing against the best players on the WTA Tour while Zarazua has been dealing with some challenger events and has lost four matches in a row. Shnaider has been losing to good players, but she has been losing more than she has been winning in her last seven matches. Shnaider winning in straight sets also isn’t offering that much of a price. So, the bet should go to the game spread. You could try to place two bets here. You could go for Shnaider minus 5.5 games at 1.76 and Zarazua plus 6.5 games at 1.67, hoping to hit the middle on both. However, if we had to lean in one direction, we would take Zarazua plus 6.5 because Shnaider just isn’t consistent enough right now.

That being said, betting on Zarazua +6.5 games is a value bet for sure.
