A rain-filled Tuesday dampened much of the tennis at the WTA Den Bosch event, but the second round will kick into gear on Wednesday. As of Tuesday evening, there are only two second-round matches on the order of play, with LWOT offering a preview of the action. Panna Udvardy vs Daria Snigur

Udvardy is on quite the high right now in the Netherlands. After a rough opening loss at the French Open, she stunned No. 1 seed Ekaterina Alexandrova 6-4 7-6 (5) in the first round, for her first Top 20 win. That win was only her second on grass courts throughout her career, as her topspin-heavy game translates to the slower surfaces a bit better. On the other side of the net, Snigur’s flat shots are perfect for this time of year. She took out the struggling but dangerous Paula Badosa in her opener here, while her results on grass have been mixed. Both players have quality wins behind their belts, but taking out the two-time champion Alexandrova is arguably the bigger scalp. Look for Udvardy to continue her fine run.

Robin Montgomery vs Greet Minnen
Head-to-head: First meeting
Ranked No. 484 in the world, Montgomery stunned Daria Kasatkina in the first round, battling from a set down. The American reached the quarterfinals of this tournament in 2024, and holds a respectable career 21-7 record on grass courts, according to Tennis Abstract. Minnen is no stranger to the fast green; her sole Top 10 win came against Garbine Muguruza at Wimbledon in 2022. Both players are crafty from all sides of the court, though the Belgian strikes the ball a bit cleaner and has been in better form throughout the season. This feels like a toss-up, but Minnen may have the slightest bit more confidence here. Minnen, notably, defeated Montgomery in a Wimbledon qualifying match in 2023.
