WTA French Open Qualifying Best Bets Including Noma Noha Akugue vs Tatiana Prozorova

The WTA French Open women’s qualifying tournament begins. These matches won’t receive the same attention that the main draw of the tournament will get, but these are huge moments for tour professionals. Getting into the main draw of a major tournament means a bigger paycheck and an opportunity to make a huge gain in the rankings. A lot of players are pursuing money, points, and the important opportunity to be able to directly qualify for smaller tournaments later this season and in the future. These are season-defining moments for many of the players involved. LWOS has our best bets for three matches. Post your best bets and thoughts in the comments.

WTA French Open qualifying

Noha Akugue – Prozorova: Time 14:20 EST

H2H: 0-1

Noma Noha Akugue faces Tatiana Prozorova. This is a very even matchup. Both players are 5-1 in their last six matches, with both having won five in a row before losing their most recent match. The players are ranked within five spots of each other (161 for Prozorova and 166 for Noha Akugue). If you are looking for any details that might offer some degree of separation between the two players, here is one: Noha Akugue has won six clay matches in 2026 in 10 tries, while Prozorova has not played any clay matches this season, instead choosing to play on hardcourts. Prozorova has played 18 hardcourt matches in 2026, whereas Noha Akugue has played none. It’s a matchup between players who like different surfaces.

Best Bet to Make

Noha Akugue playing on clay while Prozorova plays on hardcourts makes this clay-court match a situation in which you should lean to the clay-court player. Neither player is dramatically better or worse than the other, but the one clear point of differentiation is that one likes to play on clay and the other doesn’t. Noha Akugue, playing on clay, should be able to establish more of a rhythm in this match. She should be able to find ways to make Prozorova uncomfortable.

That being said, betting on Noha Akugue winning is a value bet for sure.

Chawalinska – Rame: Time 14:30 EST

H2H: 1–0

Maja Chwalinska faces Alice Rame. Chwalinska is the in-form player in this battle between two players who regularly play the Challenger Tour and do not often play on the main WTA Tour. Chwalinska is 7-2 in her last nine matches, whereas Rame is only 4-5. Chwalinska has, however, lost her last two matches after a seven-match winning streak, so even though she has been very good over the past few weeks, her arrival at the French Open is being met with some reasons for concern. Rame, though, is not any better. She has lost three straight matches coming into Paris.

Best Bet to Make

Chwalinska should win the match, but will she win it by a large enough margin to cover various spreads? You won’t get a good price for Chwalinska to win in straight sets, so the game spread is where this match should be bet on. The equally-priced (or close to it) game spread is 6.5. Since Chwalinska has lost two straight matches, Rame’s own struggles don’t seem to matter as much. It’s asking a lot of Chwalinska to win this match by at least seven games. Rame will cover the spread.

That being said, betting on Rame +6.5 games is a value bet for sure.

Falei – Pigato: Time 15:00 EST

H2H: 0–1

Aliona Falei faces Lisa Pigato. The WTA rankings have Pigato 90 spots higher, 141 to 231. Falei is 1-4 in her last five matches, while Pigato is 2-3. What is notable here is that Pigato, who often plays challenger tour matches, has at least been able to play WTA events in recent weeks. She played in the Rome main draw, and she also played in the Parma tournament, a WTA 125 event. Falei has stuck to the challengers without playing higher-level tournaments in the lead-up to French Open qualifying.

Best Bet to Make

The fact that Pigato has played in Rome and Parma, facing higher-level competition compared to Falei, should make the difference in this match. The win-loss records of the two players in recent weeks are not that different, but if you can identify a difference in the quality of opposition any two athletes face, that is often a good way to separate one from the other. Pigato should be able to win this match in a straightforward way.

That being said, betting on Pigato winning 2:0 is a value bet for sure.
