Biggest Movers in the ATP top 100 This Week

Moving Up

Alex de Minaur: +2: World #8 -> World #6

De Minaur hit his career-high ranking of No. 6 once again after claiming the Rotterdam title on his third attempt, going back-to-back-to-back in finals at the event. The top seed defeated second seed Felix Auger-Aliassime 6-3 6-2 in the final for his first indoor title and 11th ATP crown overall. After runner-up finishes the past two years (to Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz), third time proved lucky for the Australian, who saved multiple break points en route and delivered his sharpest performance in the championship match.

Denis Shapovalov: +5: World #40 to World #35

Shapovalov was unlucky not to retain his Dallas Open title from last year, falling in the semifinals to eventual champion Ben Shelton in a tight battle (4-6 6-4 7-6). The Canadian pushed deep once again at the ATP 500 indoor event, upsetting seeds along the way before the loss in a third-set tiebreak. Despite not repeating as champion, the strong semifinal run netted enough points to climb five places in the rankings, showcasing his continued form on fast hard courts.

Marin Cilic +18: from World #61 to back in the Top 50 (#43)

The 37-year-old Croatian veteran is back in the Top 50 after reaching the Dallas Open (ATP 500) semifinal. Cilic defied age post-knee surgeries, notching key wins including over Learner Tien (earning his 600th Tour-level victory) and a dominant quarterfinal over qualifier Jack Pinnington Jones. He fell to top seed Taylor Fritz in the semis but the deep run marks his best ranking since June 2023 and highlights his ongoing resilience.

Down Movers

Joao Fonseca: -5: world #33 -> world #38

Fonseca was unable to defend his Buenos Aires title from last year, losing this year in the round of 16 (second round after a bye) to Alejandro Tabilo in a dramatic 6-3 3-6 7-5 thriller. The early exit cost him the 250 points from his 2025 championship run, resulting in a five-spot drop. Beyond that, there were not a lot of negative movements in the rankings last week. There are a number of players defending plenty points in events across North America and the Middle East this week.

Best Matches of the Week:

•  Alex de Minaur d. Felix Auger-Aliassime 6-3 6-2 – Rotterdam Final

•  Ben Shelton d. Denis Shapovalov 4-6 6-4 7-6(4) – Dallas Semifinal
