Newly-crowned World #1 Jannik Sinner and his rival and World #2 Carlos Alcaraz will compete in an exhibition match in South Korea next January, just eight days ahead of the Australian Open.
They will face off in the Hyundai Card Super Match in Incheon on January 10th, with the main draw of the Australian Open commencing in Melbourne on January 18th.
The world’s two best players have clashed in three out of four Grand Slam finals in 2025 and collectively have captured nine of the last ten major titles.
Sinner regained his position as world #1 from Alcaraz on Sunday after winning the Paris Masters. The Italian’s straight-sets victory over Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime propelled him 250 points above Alcaraz in the rankings before the ATP Finals, scheduled to begin November 9th in Turin.
The Spaniard won a thrilling French Open final in June, only for Sinner to get his revenge at Wimbledon in July. However, Alcaraz emerged victorious in their latest encounter, claiming his sixth Grand Slam title at the US Open in September.
Alcaraz, who has voiced concerns regarding the excessive number of matches on the ATP Tour, currently leads their head-to-head record at 10-5.
Sinner will be defending his title at the Australian Open during the first Grand Slam tournament of 2026.
