Six Tennis Players Retire in October 2025

4. David Saye

David Saye failed a doping test in September 2024 in an ITF tournament and was given a mandatory provisional suspension earlier this year. Saye, who is only 21, elected not to appeal and filed for retirement with the ITIA this month.

5. Bibiane Schoofs

Dutch WTA player Bibiance Schoofs confirmed the news of her retirement on Instagram. The 37-year-old touched the world’s Top 150 in singles and the Top 100 in doubles. She played her last ever tennis match in the US Open women’s doubles tournament, partnering Antonia Ruzic.

6. Ulises Blanch

Former ATP Top 300 player Ulises Blanch confirmed his retirement on his LinkedIn profile. His last tournament was on the ITF in late January. Blanch, 27, has battled injuries throughout his career and now wants to pursue a career in coaching after relocating to South Florida.
