The WTA Beijing action continues in the round of 16. Here are my best bets for the matches later today. Please let me know in the comments if you agree with our picks. Sorry for the short notice, I had a minor surgery yesterday, and this was the soonest I could post.
WTA Beijing
Andreeva – Kartal: Time 10:00
H2H: 0-0
Mirra Andreeva and Sonay Kartal will meet for the first time in China. Andreeva enters the match at 7-3 in her last ten matches, and she has two tournament victories this year. Both of her tournament victories were hardcourt tournaments, and she is 24-6 on a hardcourt this year, and 40-13 overall. By contrast, Kartal is 23-19 overall and only 11-9 on a hardcourt. She has no tournament victories this year, and her last tournament win was in 2024.
Best Bet to Make
The books are unanimous on this one. Andreeva is such a heavy favorite that the only way to make any money on her is to take her in a prop bet. Betting Andreeva straight up is only going to net you 126% of your money. Not even worth standing in line for, to be honest. Betting Andreeva at 2:0 will get you 167% back, which is far more lucrative. There are other ways to make a dollar, but I think this is pretty surefire considering the matchup.
That being said, Andreeva 2:0 is a value bet for sure.
Value bet/the best odds: Andreeva 2:0 @1.67 @Coral
Potapova – Noskova: Time 08:30
H2H: 1-1
Anastasia Potapova vs Linda Noskova is our second match, and only the third match between these two. They’re currently knotted up at 1-1, with Potapova taking the clay match at the French Open this year, and Noskova taking the hardcourt match in Adelaide back in 2023. This year, Potapova is a very average 10-10 in her hardcourt matches. Noskova is 19-13 on a hardcourt this year.

Best Bet to Make
It’s easy to see why the books favor Noskova. She’s 6-4 in her last ten matches, while Potapova is 5-5. Noskova is 31-22 on the year, but she hasn’t won a tournament since 2024. Potapova is only 24-15 by comparison, but she does have a tournament victory in 2025 at Cluj-Napoca 2 WTA. Noskova seems to be having the better overall year; she just hasn’t won anything to show for it. I think this will be a back and forth match, but Noskova should win in the end.
That being said, Noskova winning is a value bet for sure.

Pegula – Kostyuk: Time 14:30
H2H: 1-3
Marta Kostyuk vs Jessica Pegula is our feature match. Pegula has traditionally dominated this matchup, going 3-1 lifetime against Kostyuk. Their last match took place earlier this year, in March, at the WTA Miami tournament in the round of 16. Pegula dominated that match in straight sets on her way to finishing as tournament runner-up to Aryna Sabalenka, who else? Kostyuk is 19-12 this year on a hardcourt, but Pegula is 29-10, and she has a tournament victory in Austin.
Best Bet to Make
It should not surprise anyone that Pegula is the favorite in this match. Not only is she 3-1 against her opponent, she’s also dominant on a hardcourt. While you could bet Pegula straight up and cash out for a solid profit at 1.61, I think I would press my luck in this case and take Pegula 2:0 for 2.5 on Bet365. They’ve only ever gone three sets one time, and that was back in 2022. The majority of the time, Pegula wins comfortably, losing between 2-5 games per match.
That being said, Pegula winning 2:0 is a value bet for sure.
