WTA Prague Semifinal Predictions Including Marie Bouzkova vs Tereza Valentova

The 2025 edition of the WTA Livesport Prague Open has been a wonderful showcase o fthe depth of Czech women’s tennis and that still remains the case by the semifinals. Marie Bouzkova, Tereza Valentova, and Linda Noskova are already in the final four, joined by China’s Xinyu Wang. Who do you think will reach the final in Prague?

WTA Prague Semifinal Predictions

Marie Bouzkova vs Tereza Valentova

Head-to-head: First meeting

Marie Bouzkova won this title three years ago after a memorable final against Anastasia Potapova, where she didn’t hit a single winner. The Czech’s a gritty defender and often lures her opponents into pressing too hard. That’s the style that fits her strengths and usually her best results come about when she sticks to it. She’s once again been solid if unspectacular this season, which is a bit of a reflection on her ceiling. In all likelihood, Tereza Valentova might eventually develop a higher upside.

The 18-year-old is on an unbelievable 19-2 run since the French Open, including 8 wins over the past 2 weeks. Does she still have enough mental and physical energy to go to war with Bouzkova here? If she does, her breakthrough might continue. Fatigue could come into play at some point as well with Valentova coming off a title run at the WTA 125 in Porto. Perhaps blasting through Jessika Ponchet on Thursday might help the up-and-comer manage the potential tiredness.
Prediction: Valentova in 3

Linda Noskova vs Xinyu Wang

Head-to-head: First meeting

Linda Noskova has made the semifinals of this event for the fourth time in a row and it’s surprising the 20-year-old hasn’t won it yet. She’s once again the main favorite, but hasn’t been looking sharp this week and her game tends to be quite high-risk. Xinyu Wang will be dangerous but since she had to finish her quarterfinal against Sara Bejlek on Friday morning, maybe this is the edge Noskova needs to keep pushing her way towards a first Prague title. It’s not like this is just about fatigue anyway, the No. 1 seed simply has a very high ceiling.
Prediction: Noskova in 3

About Damian Kust

Damian is a connoisseur of the lower tiers of men's tennis and would probably watch the World No. 700 play a ferret if he could see it from the stands. Always pleased by a beautiful one-handed backhand or classic volleying technique.
