The ATP Bucharest 250 series is into its penultimate day with semifinal action on the cards. The top seeds are in action along with veterans and it should be an exciting couple of matches. As ever, we preview and predict both semifinal matches for you.
ATP Bucharest Semifinal Predictions
Damir Dzumhur vs Flavio Cobolli
Head-to-head – First Meeting
This should be an interesting matchup considering both players look to be in decent touch. Damir Dzumhur has a good win loss record for the year and he was lucky in his quarterfinal match as his opponent had to pull out early in the second set.
Flavio Cobolli is seeded third here and he has had a good couple of rounds this week. It will boil down to who can attack more on the day as both play well defensively. Cobolli is the higher ranked player but Dzumhur looks more assured this year and does carry more momentum into this match.

Sebastian Baez vs Marton Fucsovics
Head-to-head – Baez 1-0 Fucsovics
Sebastian Baez has had a fantastic clay court results this year having won in Rio and reaching the final in Santiago. This week has been no different and despite the fact that he has had to battle it out in three sets in each of his matches this week, he does look like the favourite this week.
He faces the Hungarian Marton Fucsovics who is playing his first, ATP playing his first ATP main tour tournament this year and has had great results this week. He has defeated good quality opponents en route to the semi-final but none have been at the level at which Baez is playing. Expect a tight battle with Baez frustrating the Hungarian with his defence and never say die attitude.
