It is time to wrap up the women’s singles third round on day six at the WTA Miami Open. It promises to be an entertaining day of tennis with eight matches on the slate and, as ever, we here at LWOT will be offering our predictions for every match – including Amanda Anisimova vs Mirra Andreeva. But who will book their spot in the last 16?
WTA Miami Day 6 Predictions
Anna Blinkova vs Marta Kostyuk
Head-to-head: first meeting
It’s been an up-and-down start to the year for Marta Kostyuk, but maybe she’s getting there with a fourth-round run in Indian Wells and now another win here. But Anna Blinkova has that knack for upsets and has already posted one this week by defeating Diana Shnaider. Kostyuk can still get a bit lost in what she’s trying to achieve on the court and can struggle to figure out the best way to proceed in a match. Her wider range of options ultimately might be what gets her the win, even if she won’t be perfect in knowing what to use and when.
Prediction: Kostyuk in 3

Jessica Pegula vs Anna Kalinskaya
Head-to-head: Pegula 2-0 Kalinskaya
The head-to-head might be a bit misleading, considering that Anna Kalinskaya had five match points to win their final in Berlin last June. Nowadays the Russian is slipping down the rankings, before this week winning any matches in just one out of six events she’s played in 2025. Jessica Pegula on the other hand has been as solid as ever, producing a 16-5 win/loss record so far. The conditions in Miami can aid Kalinskaya’s flatter hitting, but the same can be said for Pegula. There’s a clear favorite here.
Prediction: Pegula in 2
Madison Keys vs Alexandra Eala
Head-to-head: first meeting
Considered a wunderkind a few years back, it’s fair to say that Alexandra Eala’s career hasn’t progressed as many expected. But the win over Jelena Ostapenko and the third-round run here is one of her proudest moments in professional tennis so far. It’s just that it will be very difficult to keep the run going. Madison Keys has been almost unstoppable this year and while Aryna Sabalenka steamrolled her last week, it takes a lot to bother the American right now. Eala’s lefty counter-punching probably won’t be enough.
Prediction: Keys in 2

Emma Raducanu vs McCartney Kessler
Head-to-head: first meeting
It was massive for Emma Raducanu to prevail in that battle against Emma Navarro, especially as the Brit had been losing in the opening round all the time of late. Her health is finally okay for the time being and that should lead to some success, but we’re yet to know how much. Nonetheless, McCartney Kessler is a really dangerous opponent right now. She made the Austin final, tested Aryna Sabalenka in Indian Wells, and has already won two good battles here. There will be resistance and probably enough of it to beat end Raducanu’s run.
Prediction: Kessler in 3
