ATP Indian Wells Day 4 Predictions Including Carlos Alcaraz vs Quentin Halys

Day 4 at the ATP Indian Wells 2025 edition sees the top seeds in action after a bye in the first round. Round of 64 action should be enthralling and we try to preview and predict the matches for you.

ATP Indian Wells Day 4 Predictions

Nuno Borges vs Grigor Dimitrov

Head-to-head – Borges 1-0 Dimitrov
Nuno Borges has had a pretty good year thus far. His win loss stands at 11-7 and the Portuguese should be happy with how his year has started. He closed out his first round match emphatically with a 6-2 in the third set and now takes on the veteran in Grigor Dimitrov. Dimitrov has not found his form and is not fully feeling fit either. Expect Borges to win this match against a player he has beaten before.

Prediction: Borges in 3

Matteo Arnaldi vs Andrey Rublev

Head-to-head – Arnaldi 1-2 Rublev

Matteo Arnaldi came through a tough first round match and his next assignment is even tougher. He faces Andrey Rublev who is seeded seventh here and after a sub par start to 2025, the Russian bounced back with a tournament win in Doha. He did lose in the first round in Dubai but he is well rested and should be able to over power Arnaldi from the baseline.
Prediction: Rublev in 2

Taylor Fritz vs Matteo Gigante

Head-to-head – First Meeting

Taylor Fritz would be looking to make a mark this week after having nothing to show for in 2025 so far. The American hasn’t quite carried forward his 2024 year end form and that is frustrating for his fans. His first match this week is against the qualifier Matteo Gigante who did knock out Sebastian Baez but is unlikely to be able to handle Fritz’s power and consistency from the baseline.
Prediction: Fritz in 2

Carlos Alcaraz vs Quentin Halys

Head-to-head – First Meeting

Quentin Halys had a decent run in Dubai last week and has started strong in his opening match here as well. Up next is the second seed Carlos Alcaraz who would want to enter the clay court season with a Masters 1000 title or two. Halys hits the ball pretty heavy but the Spaniard is a great counter puncher and with his superior defensive skills he should be able to progress ahead.
Prediction: Alcaraz in 3
