ATP Dubai Day 3 Predictions Including Stefanos Tsitsipas vs Karen Khachanov

The ATP Dubai Duty Free Championships 2025 edition is all set to provide us with exciting tennis action. We have the Round of 16 set to complete on Day 3 which means it promises to be a fantastic day of tennis. As ever, we at LWOT preview and predict all matches scheduled for you.

ATP Dubai Day 3 Predictions

Marin Cilic vs Alexei Popyrin

Head-to-head – Cilic 1-1 Popyrin

Both players notched up their first win on the singles tour this year and it is better late than never. Alexei Popyrin sits in the Top 30 but the Australian has failed to impress this year when much was expected out of him. Marin Cilic is a stalwart of the game and at 36 years old he managed to get the better of the second seed here this week. Expect a tight battle with Cilic banking on his experience to get the win.
Prediction: Cilic in 3

Zizou Bergs vs Luca Nardi

Head-to-head – Bergs 1-0 Nardi

Luca Nardi has done extremely well to reach the second round here after having to make his way to the main draw via qualifying. The Italian now faces Zizou Bergs who does seem to be having a decent 2025 thus far. The Belgian is playing high percentage tennis from the baseline and his serve has been holding well. Expect Nardi to be a little tired for this match as he’s had long matches this week and Bergs should be able to capitalise on that.
Prediction: Bergs in 2

Daniil Medvedev vs Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard

Head-to-head – First Meeting

No one can predict how Daniil Medvedev is going to fare this week but the Russian should like his chances of reaching the quarterfinals as he faces Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard, who has a pretty attacking game style making him susceptible to counter attack. The Frenchman had a good first round match but Medvedev loves the hard courts and while the Russian hasn’t impressed this year, don’t see Perricard making much inroads in this match.
Prediction: Medvedev in 2

Stefanos Tsitsipas vs Karen Khachanov

Head-to-head – Tsitsipas 8-1 Khachanov

Neither player has had any sort of momentum this year and this week is a great opportunity for either of them to put a step forward in stabilising their 2025 season. Both have made good starts but their head to head predicts a gloomy outcome for Karen Khachanov. Stefanos Tsitsipas has played well at this venue historically and he should be able to build on that against an opponent he has won eight out of nine times. Expect Tsitsipas to be at his best by mixing it up and not letting Khachanov who can be one dimensional at times not settle.
Prediction: Tsitsipas in 2
