ATP Chengdu Day 2 Predictions

Federico Agustin Gomez vs Alexandre Muller

Head to head – First Meeting

Alexandre Muller has had a decent year in 2024 considering he has never quite made it on the main tour. His win-loss record of 14-16 is not bad as the Frenchman has repeatedly tried to notch up wins in a single season. He faces Federico Agustin Gomez who is yet to crack the main tour with any wins. Expect Muller to make short work in his opening round.
Prediction: Muller in 2

Chun-Hsin Tseng vs Yi Zhou

Head to head – First Meeting

Chun-Hsin Tseng hasn’t quite had the year he would be hoping for but there’s still many tournaments left for him to finish better than he started. He takes on Yi Zhou who has got a wild card here and will bank on home support to take him over the line. That may prove pivotal in him nabbing a set but that is all he will get as Tseng would garner his experience to eke out the victory.
Prediction: Tseng in 3

Kei Nishikori vs Juncheng Shang

Head to head – Nishikori 1-0 Shang

This could get tricky for Kei Nishikori as Juncheng Shang has had a fantastic season thus far in 2024. Nishikori has beaten him in their sole meeting but Shang has improved considerably since. Expect Shang to cause the upset here as the home favourite will relish the home conditions to entertain.
Prediction: Shang in 3
