ATP Mallorca Quarterfinal Predictions Including Roberto Bautista Agut vs Gael Monfils

Gael Monfils in action at the French Open.

The last week before all eyes shift to Wimbledon sees a great ATP tournament with exciting tennis action here in Mallorca, Spain. Just eight men remain to get a chance to enter Wimbledon full of confidence. As ever, we at LWOT preview and predict all four quarterfinal clashes for you.

ATP Mallorca Quarterfinal Predictions

Alex Michelsen vs Sebastian Ofner

Head to head – Michelsen 1-0 Ofner

Both men entered this tournament without having won a single main draw match in the grass court tournaments they played before in 2024. Alex Michelsen has been in decent touch knocking out seeded players and Sebastian Ofner has looked assured as well in his game. Expect Michelsen to put up a fight but Ofner’s superior serve should lead him to a surprising last four appearance.
Prediction: Ofner in 3

Jakub Mensik vs Alejandro Tabilo

Head to head – First Meeting

Jakub Mensik has done incredibly well to reach the last eight and has had to fight for it in both his matches which went the distance. The Czech now faces Alejandro Tabilo who is now consistently ranked in the top 40 and the Chilean has the game to impress many. Expect a strong performance from Tabilo who looked on a roll in his only match here this week.
Prediction: Tabilo in 2

Paul Jubb vs Ben Shelton

Head to head – First Meeting

Ben Shelton will be mighty pleased after a disappointing couple of tournaments preceding the Mallorca Open. The American looked in decent nick and he will be eager to move ahead as Wimbledon is a Grand Slam he should feel very comfortable at. He faces the qualifier Paul Jubb who has been on a roll this week but he hasn’t faced anyone of the caliber of Shelton and that should be a gap too wide to breach.
Prediction: Shelton in 2

Roberto Bautista Agut vs Gael Monfils

Head to head – Bautista Agut 1-4 Monfils

This is going to be an exciting clash with both veterans putting up a show this week and taking out young hopefuls in the process. Roberto Bautista Agut would like to throw it back to 2019 when he reached the semifinals at Wimbledon and coincidentally 2019 was the last year he faced off against Gael Monfils. The Frenchman at 37 years old has looked dangerously good and his fitness looks to be slightly better than the Spaniard’s which spells doom for any opponent against Monfils.
Prediction: Monfils in 3
