ATP Den Bosch Day 4 Predictions Including Zizou Bergs vs Alex de Minaur

Alex de Minaur in action at Wimbledon.

The 2024 ATP Den Bosch Open is now well-underway and this year there is a strong draw in the Netherlands, with a number of star names keen for some grass-court practice ahead of Wimbledon. As ever, we here at LWOT are offering our previews and prediction for every match on day four, as well as all the action in Stuttgart. But who will advance?

ATP Den Bosch Day 4 Predictions

Roberto Bautista Agut vs Milos Raonic

Head-to-head: Raonic 5-0 Bautista Agut

Milos Raonic returned to the tour after three months this week having last played in the Indian Wells Masters tournament. The Canadian is not the force he once was, but he still a formidable grass-court player and looked sharp in his first-round win as he looks to build up momentum this month. Roberto Bautista Agut has had some very good results on grass in previous years himself, including reaching the last four at Wimbledon, but the Spaniard hasn’t quite cracked the code to beat the big serving Canadian having lost all five of their previous meetings. Expect Raonic to dictate play with his serve and progress ahead.

Sebastian Korda vs Luca Nardi

Head-to-head: first meeting

In a battle of up-and-coming tennis players, Sebastian Korda will look to gain momentum when he takes on the impressive Luca Nardi. The American should enjoy playing on faster surfaces as his aggressive game style should be potent here. Nardi has a lot of talent for a 20-year-old but the Italian still needs to improve if he’s to beat players higher ranked. Korda looked good in his first round and he should be the one going through.

Prediction: Korda in 3

Tommy Paul vs Alexei Popyrin

Head-to-head: Popyrin 1-0 Paul

Alexei Popyrin knows how to beat Tommy Paul and on grass the American looks more vulnerable than others surfaces. The big serving Australian looked good in his opening round match and he will very much be looking to carry that form forward across the remainder of the grass-court swing. Paul has enjoyed a great 2024 season, but his game is perhaps slightly underpowered when he takes on the big servers on quicker courts. Few cover the court as well as Paul, but expect Popyrin to have just enough to advance here.

Zizou Bergs vs Alex de Minaur

Head-to-head: first meeting

It will be interesting to see Alex de Minaur’s grass-court season in 2024. The Australian has had a decent first half of the season and he has fared well in the past in faster conditions. He will get his grass-court campaign underway this season by taking on Zizou Bergs from Belgium who hits a flat ball but is known to be error prone. Both enjoyed solid showings at Roland Garros, but the Australian should feel his game is perfectly suited to counter the power of Bergs and counter punch whenever needed. Expect de Minaur to put up a statement performance.

Prediction: de Minaur in 2
