ATP French Open Best Bets Including Goffin vs Mpetshi Perricard

David Goffin French Open

ATP French Open 1/64-Finals

Goffin – Mpetshi Perricard: 28.05.2024 12:30 CEST
H2H: 0-1

David Goffin has won three of his last five matches. Last week, Goffin lost in the first round of the ATP 250 in Geneva against Moreno De Alboran in straight sets. Before that, Goffin played a challenger tournament in Turin where he lost against Musetti in the second round. This season was not his best one, and with his recent results, David Goffin dropped out of the top 100. Last year in Paris, Goffin lost in the first round against Hubert Hurkacz in five sets. He has not had any success in Paris since 2016, when he reached the quarterfinals.

Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard has won five straight matches and the title last week in Lyon. Perricard is a young French talent who just reached the top 70 with his recent wins in Lyon. En route to the title, Perricard won against some solid clay court players such as Etcheverry. This is really impressive considering the fact that he started this year outside of the top 200. Last year in Paris, Mpetshi received a wildcard. However, he fumbled under pressure and lost against Olivieri in five sets.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, Goffin is the underdog in this matchup. We believe that experience will prevail in a big match such as this one. After such inexperienced players win an ATP title, they are usually emotionally overwhelmed.

That being said, Goffin winning is a value bet.

Cobolli – Medjedovic: 28.05.2024 14:30 CEST
H2H: first meeting

Flavio Cobolli has won three of his last five matches. Two weeks ago, Cobolli lost in the second round of the ATP Masters 1000 in Rome against Korda in three sets. At the beginning of the season, Cobolli reached the second week at the Australian Open, which was also his biggest success so far this season. Last week in Geneva, Cobolli played really well, reaching the semifinals. En route to the semifinal, Cobolli won against Karatsev, Shelton and Shevchenko. However, Ruud defeated him in three tough sets in the semifinals. Last year in Paris, Cobolli had his debut campaign. However, he had to face Alcaraz and could not do much in the first round.

Hamad Medjedovic has won four of his last five matches. Medjedovic had to fight through the qualifiers to get into the main draw. He won all of his matches in straight sets without many problems. Unfortunately, his fitness problems have held him back this season and that is the main reason why Medjedovic is out of the top 100. Since returning from the injury, Hamad has played very good tennis. Last year in Paris, Medjedovic also won all of his qualifying matches. However, Giron defeated him in the first round in four sets.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, Cobolli is the underdog in this matchup. However, we believe that this will be a very close match with possibly five sets. That being said, we expect Cobolli to cover games handicap easily.

That being said, Cobolli covering the games handicap is a value bet.
