As always, we here at LWOT predict all the matches for you. Tuesday’s eight matches are split between this and a separate article.

WTA Rabat Day 3 Predictions

Aya El Aouni vs Mayar Sherif

Head-to-head: first meeting

El Aouni has been in amazing form at lower levels, winning ten consecutive matches (all in Antalya) leading into this tournament. The World #629 will surely be feeling very confident and motivated, but at the same time this is a huge step up in level, facing the world #66. El Aouni could put up a bit of a fight, but ultimately Sherif should prevail.
Prediction: Sherif in 3

Martina Trevisan vs Nao Hibino

Head-to-head: Trevisan 3-0 Hibino

Both players are coming into this tournament on 4-match losing streaks, desperately needing a win to gain some momentum back. Their previous three meetings all ended in straight set victories for Trevisan and on clay she should have an edge theoretically. It should be a close match, but Trevisan should be able to pull through in the end.
Prediction: Trevisan in 3

Sara Sorribes Tormo vs Nadia Podoroska

Head-to-head: Sorribes Tormo 3-0 Podoroska

While both players are close in level overall, Sorribes Tormo has won all of their previous meeting, including a very recent one in Rome less than two weeks ago. She seems to have a clear edge in this matchup and more specifically on this surface. She played great in the opening round here in Rabat, dropping only two games, and should be able to keep advancing here.
Prediction: Sorribes Tormo in 2

Zhuoxuan Bai vs Elisabetta Cocciaretto

Head-to-head: first meeting

Bai has been struggling so far in this clay season, coming into this tournament on the back of four consecutive losses. She did win her first round here, but things will only get more difficult from now on; Cocciareto has been playing good tennis so far this clay season and should be able to prevail here.
Prediction: Cocciaretto in 2
