ATP Miami Day 7 Predictions Including Jannik Sinner vs Christopher O’Connell

Jannik Sinner Australian Open

Day 7 at the second ATP Masters 1000 event of the season, in Miami, promises plenty of excitement, with all eight last of sixteen matches being played on the men’s side. It will be a day packed full of action and which should provide plenty of high quality and exciting matches. Both Australian Open finalists will be featured this Tuesday, with Daniil Medvedev and Jannik Sinner looking likely to face each other again in the semifinals here.

ATP Miami Day 7 Predictions

Tomas Machac vs Matteo Arnaldi

Head-to-head: Machac 1-0 Arnaldi

Both players are young and up and coming, looking for a maiden quarterfinal at Masters 1000 level. Both have been playing well so far this tournament, but Machac survived a grueling battle against Andy Murray, while Arnaldi has been blasting through the draw. That might just give him enough of an edge to pull through.
Prediction: Arnaldi in 2

Casper Ruud vs Nicolas Jarry

Head-to-head: Ruud 2-1 Jarry

Jarry has survived two epic marathons against Draper and Seyboth Wild to make it to this round and Ruud is one of the last players you want to face while fatigued. If Jarry was at his best, this would be a very tight encounter, but given his disappointing year so far and his accumulated fatigue in this tournament, Ruud should definitely win here.
Prediction: Ruud in 2

Dominik Koepfer vs Daniil Medvedev

Head-to-head: Medvedev 2-0 Koepfer

Although he’s been coming short in the end time and again, Medvedev reaches the latter stages of big hard court tournaments with such regularity that there’s almost a sense of inevitability about it. After heartbreaking final losses at the US Open and the Australian Open, he reached the final in Indian Wells and is now defending his Miami title from last year, with a great path to at least reach the semifinals and get another chance to face Sinner. As well as Koepfer has been playing, he shouldn’t pose much of a threat here.
Prediction: Medvedev in 2

Jannik Sinner vs Christopher O’Connell

Head-to-head: O’Connell 1-0 Sinner

Sinner has been playing amazing tennis since late 2023 and is arguably the best player in the world right now. His only loss so far in 2024 was against Alcaraz in Indian Wells and he will be itching to get another go at the Spaniard, which can only happen if both make it to the final. O’Connell might have won their previous meeting in Atlanta 2021, but this is a different Sinner now and the Italian is an overwhelming favorite.
Prediction: Sinner in 2
