ATP Adelaide Day 3 Predictions Including Matteo Arnaldi vs Nicolas Jarry

Nicolas Jarry ahead of ATP Los Cabos

The 2024 edition of the ATP Adelaide Open is well underway with high octane matches scheduled for Day 3. As ever, we at LWOT preview and predict the clashes for you.

ATP Adelaide Day 3 Predictions

Jack Draper vs Miomir Kecmanovic

Head to head – Draper 1-1 Kecmanovic

This looks like a super tight match. These two have split the two times they have met which makes this clash even more exciting. Miomir Kecmanovic and Jack Draper won their opening round match pretty easily but it looks like the Serb is more than capable of extracting errors out of Draper. Expect Kecmanovic to progress through.

Prediction: Kecmanovic in 3

Christopher O’Connell vs Alexander Shevchenko

Head to head – First Meeting

Alexander Shevchenko is looking like a dark horse in this tournament. The Russian played a solid third set to take out the sixth seed here. He now takes on Christopher O’Connell who did play a solid match but the Australian just looks a little shy of the baseline quality of Shevchenko. Expect the Russian to move on.

Prediction: Shevchenko in 2

Lorenzo Musetti vs Jordan Thompson

Head to head – First Meeting

Jordan Thompson is coming off of a solid start to 2024 having reached the semi finals last week in Brisbane and has made a fast start here as well. He takes on Lorenzo Musetti who is now consistently ranked in the top 30 and the Italian plays a solid game on the hard courts. Expect a tight tussle with Thompson starting fast but Musetti to dial in and elongate rallies to eke out the errors from the Australian.

Prediction: Musetti in 3

Matteo Arnaldi vs Nicolas Jarry

Head to head – Arnaldi 0-1 Jarry

Matteo Arnaldi has started 2024 pretty well with some wins already under his belt. The Italian now faces second seed Nicolas Jarry who plays his first match in 2024. The Chilean will be wary here as a slow start can be dangerous against a consistent baseliner like Arnaldi. Expect a long battle but Jarry’s serve should be on song when needed and that will prove to be the decider.

Prediction: Jarry in 3
