Day 4 at the ATP 500 event in Vienna will feature plenty of exciting action, including three players who will be in Turin next month in Daniiel Medvedev, Stefanos Tsitsipas, and Jannik Sinner, all facing very capable opposition. It’s clearly the strongest ATP 500 event of the week and we are sure to see some top notch tennis this Thursday.
ATP Vienna Day 4 Predictions
Jannik Sinner vs Lorenzo Sonego
Head-to-head: Sinner 3-0 Sonego
Sinner has completely dominated this all-Italian matchup so far, including a very one-sided win at this year’s US Open, and there’s every reason to believe that trend will remain here. Sinner has been in great form lately, with a great title run in Beijing and a very good tournament opener here against Ben Shelton, and looks like a contender for the title both here and next month in Turin.
Predictions: Sinner in 2

Stefanos Tsitsipas vs Tomas Machac
Head-to-head: first meeting
After his run to the Australian Open final all the way back in January, Tsitsipas has had a really rough season as he constantly keeps losing to much lower ranked opponents and seems completely devoid of any confidence and spark. In theory, he should be a very clear favorite in this matchup, but that is hardly the case considering his recent form. In any case, Tsitsipas is still the far better player of the two and should prevail despite his current struggles.
Prediction: Tsitsipas in 2
Grigor Dimitrov vs Daniil Medvedev
Head-to-head: Medvedev 5-2 Dimitrov
Dimitrov is having a very consistent season and has worked his way back to #17 in the world, but he has almost always been losing to the first top seed he faces (although he did beat Alcaraz recently in Shanghai) and Medvedev is the #1 seed here in Vienna and a clear cut top 3 player in the world. He has always had the edge in this matchup and should once again prove too much for Dimitrov.
Prediction: Medvedev in 2
