WTA Eastbourne Quarterfinal Predictions Including Jessica Pegula vs Coco Gauff

Coco Gauff at WTA Indian Wells

Day 4 at the WTA event in Eastbourne will feature all four quarterfinal matches. The event features an unusually strong field for an event on this category, it will even have a quarterfinal matchup between two Top 10 players in Jessica Pegula and Coco Gauff, a match that could very well be a Slam quarterfinal.

WTA Eastbourne Day 4 Predictions

Madison Keys vs Petra Martic

Head-to-head: Martic 2-1 Keys

This should be a very tight match; Keys is generally the better player with the far superior career achievement, but at Wimbledon Martic has actually achieved more, with three round of 16 appearances proving that she can play on grass. Both players have been playing well so far this week and this match should be decided by small details.
Prediction: Martic in 3

Daria Kasatkina vs Caroline Garcia

Head-to-head: Garcia 2-1 Kasatkina

This is a matchup that wouldn’t look out of place in the deep rounds of a Slam, showing just how stacked this tournament is. It should be extremely tight and is very hard to call; grass isn’t either player’s favorite surface but both can play on it and will be looking to gain some momentum ahead of the big one at Wimbledon.
Prediction: Garcia in 3

Jelena Ostapenko vs Camila Giorgi

Head-to-head: Ostapenko 2-1 Giorgi

Ostapenko won both of their previous meetings on grass, including a 6-2 6-2 win on this same court in last year’s edition of the tournament. She should once again have the edge on this surface and advance to the semifinals, but Giorgi won’t be a pushover and will be motivated after beating last year’s Wimbledon finalist Ons Jabeur to get here.
Prediction: Ostapenko in 3

Jessica Pegula vs Coco Gauff

Head-to-head: Pegula 1-0 Gauff

This is another match that wouldn’t look out of place in the deep rounds of a Slam, with the world #4 taking on the world #7. Gauff’s anticipated big breakthrough hasn’t happened yet but the young American looks ready to explode at any point; Pegula is one of the most consistent players at tour level and will make life very difficult for Gauff here for sure, though.
Prediction: Gauff in 3
