Day 4 at the WTA event in Bad Homburg will feature all four quarterfinal matches, with World #1 Iga Swiatek leading a very good field. Swiatek is obviously the title favorite but her edge isn’t as pronounced on grass as it would be on other surfaces and other players will surely believe their chances here.
WTA Bod Homburg Day 4 Predictions
Lucia Bronzetti vs Varvara Gracheva
Head-to-head: Bronzetti 1-0 Gracheva
Both players have been playing very well so far this week and this should be a very tight match, as was the case when the pair faced at the Australian Open in 2022. Gracheva is the slightly more solid and consistent player overall but this is a match that should come down to details.
Prediction: Gracheva in 3
Rebeka Masarova vs Emma Navarro
Head-to-head: first meeting
This is another very tight match in prospect, between two players very close to each other in both ranking and level. Both have been playing very well so far this week, with neither dropping a set so far in the tournament. Navarro has the slight edge perhaps, but it’s a match that could genuinely go either way.
Prediction: Navarro in 3

Katerina Siniakova vs Liudmila Samsonova
Head-to-head: first meeting
Samsonova is the overall far superior player and, although she’s yet to make a significant run at Wimbledon, she actually has a grasscourt title to her name at the 2021 German Open. She knows how to play on this surface and will surely believe her chances to win the title here this week, so she should make relatively light work of this quarterfinal.
Prediction: Samsonova in 2
Iga Swiatek vs Anna Blinkova
Head-to-head: first meeting
Blinkova has been playing very well this week, but even on grass Swiatek should be a step too far for her. The world #1 looks like she’s figuring out this surface and her round of 16 performance was highly impressive and suggestive that a title here and a first deep run at Wimbledon might well be on the cards.
Prediction: Swiatek in 2
