We have reached the final of the ATP 250 in ‘s-Hertogenbosch (familiarly called “Den Bosch”), and it looks like a surprising matchup. Will local hero Tallon Griekspoor take home the trophy? Or can Jordan Thompson continue to show off his grass prowess? Who do you think will reign victorious in the Netherlands?
ATP Den Bosch Final Prediction
Tallon Griekspoor vs Jordan Thompson
Griekspoor has quietly but steadily improved for a few years now, but this tournament is his breakout. The Dutchman is consistently impressing on his home turf, and he looks better and better each round, too. He has already taken out two players better than Thompson, so he should probably be favored in this matchup.
Thompson, for his own part, is a solid grass court player. But he has had a far easier path to the final than his opponent here. On top of that, he hasn’t looked close to as good as Griekspoor has, either. Every single factor in this matchup screams picking Griekspoor here. The Dutchman has better form, has proven himself more this week, and has home-court advantage. It takes some serious work to try and find a reason to pick Thompson here.
Griekspoor has already taken two Aussies out of the competition here. Expect him to eliminate a third, take home the trophy, and stamp himself as a contender for Wimbledon.
Prediction: Griekspoor in 2
