WTA Den Bosch Semifinal Predictions Including Veronika Kudermetova vs Viktoria Hruncakova

Veronika Kudermetova US OPEN

We have made it to the weekend in Den Bosch, where four women are left in the Libema Open draw, looking to raise the first WTA grass-court trophy of the season. No. 1 seed Veronika Kudermetova has looked unstoppable all week but will be tested against 25-year-old Slovakian Viktoria Hruncakova. In the other semifinal, veterans Ekaterina Alexandrova and Aliaksandra Sasnovich will square off for the first time in four years. We at LWOT have the preview and prediction for both matches. But who will advance?

WTA Den Bosch Semifinal Predictions

Ekaterina Alexandrova vs Aliaksandra Sasnovich

Head-to-Head: Alexandrova 2-0 Sasnovich

No. 4 seed Ekaterina Alexandrova will square off against No. 7 seed Aliaksandra Sasnovich in the Libema Open semifinals. This will be their first meeting since 2019, but Alexandrova has won their two previous encounters in straight sets. Alexandrova has always been a strong grass-court player and has yet to drop a set in Den Bosch. Sasnovich, in her own right, has had previous success on the grass. That said, I do not believe she has the tools to keep up with her Russian counterpart on the surface. Alexandrova should be able to overpower Sasnovich.

Prediction: Alexandrova in 2

Veronika Kudermetova vs Viktoria Hruncakova

Head-to-Head: Kudermetova 2-0 Hruncakova

No. 1 seed Veronika Kudermetova looks to continue her recent run of good form when she takes on Viktoria Hruncakova in the Libema Open semifinals. The 26-year-old Russian holds an 11-3 record dating back to mid-April and has proven to excel on any surface. Hruncakova, on the other hand, has struggled to string wins together over the past few months. Her run in Den Bosch, which includes a Round 2 win over Bianca Andreescu, is impressive. However, I believe it stops here. Kudermetova will overwhelm her from the baseline.
Prediction: Kudermetova in 2
