Day 5 at the ATP grass court event of the season in the Netherlands will feature the quarterfinals, with Jannik Sinner emerging as a clear favorite to take the title on Sunday. The rest of the field will surely fancy their chance though, especially with some grasscourt specialists in the mix here.
ATP Den Bosch Day 5 predictions
Mackenzie McDonald vs Rinky Hijikata
Head-to-head: first meeting
On paper this is the weakest match of the quarterfinals, but both players have been playing very well this week, especially McDonald who upset Borna Coric on his way here. In general, the American seems to be a more solid and consistent player and should have the edge here.
Prediction: McDonald in 3

Adrian Mannarino vs Jordan Thompson
Head-to-head: Mannarino 4-1 Thompson
Not only has Mannarino won four of their five previous meetings, he’s also won all three they’ve played on grass, without dropping a single set. He plays his best tennis on this surface and will surely be confident of his chances of a third career title this week. Thompson is, however, no slouch on this surface and won’t be an easy opponent.
Prediction: Mannarino in 3

Tallon Griekspoor vs Alex De Minaur
Head-to-head: De Minaur 1-0 Griekspoor
Griekspoor’s ascension in recent years has been incredible, but he generally struggles against higher ranked players. Despite his lack of power and serve, De Minaur has actually got some very decent results on grass over the years including a title in Eastbourne and a Wimbledon round of 16 last year. He should be able to prevail in a tight match here.
Prediction: De Minaur in 3
