ATP Lyon Day 4 Predictions Including Felix Auger-Aliassime vs Pablo Llamas Ruiz

Felix Auger-Aliassime ahead of ATP Lyon

The ATP Lyon Open 2023 edition is in full swing with a jam-packed draw comprised of top players seeking much-needed match practice before Roland Garros begins. As ever, we at LWOT preview and predict all four Round of 16 matches for you.

ATP Lyon Day 4 Predictions

Arthur Fils vs Mikael Ymer

Head-to-head: First Meeting

These players take on each other for the first time, which should be interesting. Mikael Ymer hasn’t had a lot of matches on clay this year and he will be hoping to build up some steam before the French Open. Arthur Fils hasn’t exuded much confidence in his past results this year and despite a strong win in the first round, the Frenchman should be coming up short here.

Sebastian Baez vs Pedro Cachin

Head-to-head: Baez 1-0 Cachin

Neither player has had a decent clay-court season so far and time is running out for both of them to garner some form. Sebastian Baez enjoys the head-to-head lead in their sole meeting previously which happened earlier this year but Pedro Cachin is a decent clay courter and this is a very close match to call. Expect Cachin to make a strong start but Baez should claw his way back and should be a potential dark horse this week.

Prediction: Baez in 3

David Goffin vs Cameron Norrie

Head-to-head: Goffin 0-2 Norrie

Cameron Norrie is seeded second here but the Brit will feel like he should’ve had better results so far in the clay court season. David Goffin is a tricky opponent first up and expect a tight clash between the two. Norrie will be disappointed if he has a bad week again but the Brit can soak up the pressure well and should play like the top 10 player he is. Goffin to put up a fight but Norrie to prevail eventually.

Prediction: Norrie in 3

Felix Auger-Aliassime vs Pablo Llamas Ruiz

Head-to-head: First Meeting

Pablo Llamas Ruiz is just 20 years old and has done well to reach the round of 16 but faces his toughest test yet. He takes on the top seed Felix Auger-Aliassime and things can get interesting considering the past form of the Canadian. He is yet to win a match post-Miami and something is not quite working well for the top seed. Expect Auger-Aliassime to shrug off the past month and slug it out for a tough win.

Prediction: Auger-Aliassime in 2
