ATP Queen’s Club Day 2 Predictions

Quentin Halys vs Emil Ruusuvuori

Head to head – First Meeting

Both players have come through qualifying and now seek the progress even further in the main draw. Emil Ruusuvuori has had a decent season so far with the young Finn still trying to make it big on the main tour. He takes on Frenchman Quentin Halys who has been on the tour for sometime but has failed to live up to his true potential. Expect Ruusuvuori to dominate from the baseline and notch up a fine win.
Prediction: Ruusuvuori in 2

Denis Kudla vs Lorenzo Sonego

Head to head – Kudla 1-0 Sonego

Denis Kudla will be thanking his lucky stars that Andy Murray had to pull out due to injury which means the American takes his place as the lucky loser. That being said, it’s not going to be easy for the American as he takes on Lorenzo Sonego who is a handful on the faster courts. These two have played each other once before earlier in the year which the American won but expect it to be different this time around with the Italian showcasing his skills on grass.
Prediction: Sonego in 3

Frances Tiafoe vs Stan Wawrinka

Head to head – Tiafoe 0-2 Wawrinka

A lot has changed since these two played each other in 2020. Stan Wawrinka has been hit by numerous injuries since and it’s been a tough road back for the Swiss. He’s playing on protected ranking and his fans would be hoping he starts being the free-flowing stroke maker he once was quickly. Frances Tiafoe hasn’t done anything spectacular this season but he’d be loving his chances against an out of form Wawrinka. The past two meetings have gone the distance and looks like this one is headed to go the distance too. Expect the American to be more consistent and assured to eventually nab the win.
Prediction: Tiafoe in 3
