Day four at the WTA event in Rabat might not feature any so-called ‘top players’, but it is almost sure to feature a number tight and exciting matches between players who will look at this week, with a theoretically weakened draw, as a great possibility to achieve something they’d otherwise struggle to. As always, we here at LWOT will be offering our predictions for every match on the schedule, but who will reach the quarterfinals?
WTA Rabat Day 4 Predictions
Anna Bondar vs Kristina Kucova
Head-to-head: first meeting
Both players had theoretically easy first rounds against players outside the top 250, but only Kristina Kucova made easy work of it, losing only two games en route to victory. Anna Bondar was taken deep into a third set and was far from impressive in her first round victory; although she’s generally the better (and higher ranked) player, Kucova seems to be in better form at the moment and should have just about enough get the win here.
Prediction: Kucova in 3

Dalma Galfi vs Arantxa Rus
Head-to-head: Rus 1-0 Galfi
Their one previous meeting was back in 2018 on hard court and won easily by Arantxa Rus, but that match will most likely have no bearing on tomorrow’s encounter, which will played on a completely different surface and with the players on very different stages of their careers. Rus still starts as a slight favourite, but this is a very close match that could genuinely go either way. Still, expect the Dutchwoman to have too much for Dalma Galfi.
Prediction: Rus in 3
