ATP Monte Carlo day 4 features Felix Auger-Aliassime squaring off on clay against Lorenzo Musetti, Casper Ruud also looks to keep winning. We have predictions for every day four match including Carlos Alcaraz tilt with Sebastian Korda.

Casper Ruud vs Holger Rune

Holger Rune qualified, this all-Scandinavian clash is intriguing. Rune won a tough three setter against Aslan Karatsev in the opening round of the main draw and won a challenger last week. Rune has been tearing up the tour and is inside the top 80 now. He would beat a lot of opponents right now, Ruud is one of the toughest though. He’s at a career high ranking of #7, losing the Miami final and winning a title in Buenos Aires on clay earlier this season. With Ruud in his element on clay, he should advance after getting a nice break after Miami. Ruud in 3

Felix Auger-Aliassime vs Lorenzo Musetti

Musetti edged Benoit Paire in the first round, he was a quarterfinalist in Marrakech, Auger-Aliassime is just 1-4 in his last five matches and his clay court record is subpar. Though FAA is a higher profile name, unless he’s found form he’s set for another difficult match. Musetti is comfortable on clay and looking to improve his ranking rapidly. Musetti in 2

Emil Ruusuvuori vs Jannik Sinner

Sinner leads the h2h 3-1, he beat Borna Coric in three sets in the opening round, Sinner was a quarterfinalist in Miami, it’s been an excellent season for the Italian. Ruusuvuori qualified and is putting together a quality season, it’s doubtful that he can elevate his game on clay to the level needed to dispatch Sinner. Sinner in 2

Lorenzo Sonego vs Laslo Djere

Sonego leads the h2h 3-1, Djere was a semifinalist in Marrakech, and beat Maxime Cressy in three sets in the opening round. Sonego dispatched Ilya Ivashka in round 1, he’s a capable player on clay, Djere looks to be in better form though so this match should be close. Given the h2h I’ll back Sonego. Sonego in 3

Marton Fucsovics vs Diego Schwartzman

This pair have split h2h meetings, Fucsovics defeated Lloyd Harris in round 1, Schwartzman needed three tough sets to defeat Karen Khachanov. Schwartzman is the better player on clay, presuming he’s fit and firing he looks to have the upper hand in this matchup given the surface. Schwartzman in 2
