Just when you think that Carlos Alcaraz is the most exciting prospect on the ATP Tour, he goes and proves it even further. The top seed at the Next Gen Finals in Milan has looked sensational so far, and is looking head and shoulders above his fellow young players. During his straight sets win over Brandon Nakashima, the young Spaniard stunned the tennis world once again.
Carlos Alcaraz Hits Unbelievable Hot Shot
After exhibiting some mind-blowing defence, Alcaraz pushed the net to finish off the point. It looked like Alcaraz was about to win a fantastic rally where he turned defence into attack brilliantly. However, what happened next was quite extraordinary.
Thanks to a horrible net cord, it appeared Alcaraz’ brilliant play was going to be ruined by bad luck. His quick reactions saw him spin around and somehow rebalance himself to not only reach the ball, but hit a fantastic drop shot too. On top of that, he also managed to avoid hitting the net while being thrown completely off balance.
ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED?! 🤯

To have the presence of mind to execute all of this in such a short space of time just shows how phenomenally talented this guy is. He’s come up with some scintillating tennis this season, but this point in particular will no doubt be doing the rounds on social media for some time.
Alcaraz will surely continue to dominate this tournament if he keeps this up. Despite still being just 18 years old, it’s evident that he will be a real force next season on the men’s tour, and for a long time after.
