ATP Antwerp Semifinal Predictions
Jenson Brooksby vs Diego Schwartzman
Head to head – First Meeting
Jenson Brooksby is in with a great chance to reach his second career final as he takes on Diego Schwartzman on the Argentine’s least preferred conditions. That being said, Schwartzman is still a top player with enviable consistency from the baseline. The Argentine hasn’t dropped a set this week and he’s beaten tricky opponents on the back of his superior defence.
The young American had protected his serve well this week but may struggle to do against a great returner in Schwartzman. Expect a great battle throughout the match with Brooksby keeping Schwartzman honest but the Argentine possesses too much quality in his groundstrokes to be mightily affected by that.
Prediction: Schwartzman in 2
Lloyd Harris vs Jannik Sinner
Head to head – First Meeting
This should be a cracker of a match. Both players have been solid throughout this week and they’re easily the ones who’ve looked the most assured. Each has dropped their serve only once this week which makes this match likely to feature at least one tiebreaker.
Jannik Sinner has had a great 2021 and he has a chance to cap it off with a maiden appearance at the year-end ATP Finals. Lloyd Harris is a solid baseliner with awesome power from both wings. He certainly isn’t too far away from his maiden career title at the ATP Tour level. Expect both players to stay strong throughout the match and not give an inch and Harris is likely to mix it up with his shots, Sinner should have enough power to hit through and dictate points at the most clutch moments.
