Only eight men remain in contention for the ATP Kitzbuhel Open 2020 trophy. It’s an exciting quarterfinal draw with a great mix of veterans and qualifiers. We preview and predict all four quarterfinal matches for you.

ATP Kitzbuhel Open Quarterfinal Predictions

Maximilian Marterer vs Yannick Hanfmann

Head to head – First Meeting

Both these players have played exceptionally well and defied great odds to reach the last eight. Yannick Hanfmann is making the most of his main draw appearance taking out third seed Dusan Lajovic in a very entertaining match. That being said, his fellow countryman, Maximilian Marterer was even more impressive and consistent in his win over Hubert Hurkacz. Expect their first meeting to be an exciting one with Marterer prevailing on the back of his more powerful ground-strokes.
Prediction: Marterer in 3

Marc-Andrea Huesler vs Feliciano Lopez

Head to head – First Meeting

Marc-Andrea Huesler certainly caused a major upset taking out the top seed Fabio Fognini in a one-sided encounter. Fognini never looked settled, but credit to the Swiss for making the most out of it. Feliciano Lopez would be mighty pleased to get the better of Guido Pella in a third set tie-break and if the Spaniard serves well in clutch moments as he did against Pella, expect Lopez to make things very uncomfortable and end Huesler’s great run here at Kitzbuhel. Expect Lopez to mix things up from the baseline and eventually break down Huesler.
Prediction: Lopez in 2

Laslo Djere vs Diego Schwartzman

Head to head – Schwartzman 2-0 Djere

Diego Schwartzman was one of the few top seeds to come out of Day 3 unscathed and he had to work extremely hard. The Argentine didn’t look entirely convincing but it was a grinding victory and he’ll need to draw upon every bit of confidence he can get to get past Laslo Djere. The Serb has looked solid since qualifying and would fancy his chances against the Argentine. Even though Schwartzman leads the head to head, on current form, the Argentine hasn’t been in prime form since the tour restarted. Expect Djere to fight and nab the win in a thrilling encounter.
Prediction: Djere in 3

 Federico Delbonis vs Miomir Kecmanovic

Head to head – First Meeting

This should be an exciting encounter. Federico Delbonis is one of the many qualifiers remaining in the draw and he made up the most of Nikoloz Basilashvili’s poor showing in the round of 16. The Argentine defended his second serve well and would need to do that once again because his quarter-final opponent, Miomir Kecmanovic has been returning very well and playing a solid baseline game. On current form, this is a tough one to call but I’m going with the young Serb to keep his head down and manage to win. Expect the Serb to be consistent from the baseline and target the Delbonis backhand as the match goes along.
Prediction: Kecmanovic in 3
