The 2019 WTA Finals are taking place in China from Sunday 27th October to Sunday 3rd November. The Chinese city Shenzhen is hosting the season-ending event for the first time, having previously taken place in Singapore from 2014-2018. The tournament is contested by the top eight women’s tennis players who have been drawn into two round-robin groups (the Red Group & the Purple Group), with the top two from each going to the knockout stage.
