WTA Tashkent Open Day 3 Predictions Including Sorana Cirstea vs Ysaline Bonaventure

WTA Tashkent Open Sorana Cirstea

Play continues at the WTA Tashkent Open on Day 3 with all eight second-round matches. I’m here to offer my thoughts on all of them for you. I’m predicting four matches in this article, and the other four matches in another piece. Who will move on to the quarterfinals? Let’s look at the matches.

WTA Tashkent Open Day 3 Predictions

Tereza Martincova vs Katarina Zavatska

Martincova gutted her way past Irini-Camelia Begu in the first round, while Zavatska advanced thanks to playing a hampered Jelena Ostapenko. Both players have impressed recently, but Martincova has played a lot of tennis in the last few days. That probably catches up to her if this match goes long.
Prediction: Zavatska in 3

Danka Kovinic vs Margarita Gasparyan

Kovinic reached the Top 50 a few years ago but then struggled with both form and injury. She’s steadily improved this season, but she is still nowhere near where she was back in 2016. She has too much talent to stay outside the Top 100 forever, but right now she’s not quite at the same level as Gasparyan is.
Prediction: Gasparyan in 2

Timea Babos vs Pauline Parmentier

Parmentier was very impressive in her first-round victory over Aleksandra Krunic. Babos was equally impressive, moving past Kirsten Flipkens in straight sets. Neither of these players are playing anywhere near their potential right now. Babos has the higher upside, though, and if she can find that she should go deep here.
Prediction: Babos in 3

Sorana Cirstea vs Ysaline Bonaventure

Bonaventure made quick work of an Uzbek wild card, but Cirstea looked impressive against better competition. Maybe the Belgian can up her game to make this a match, but right now Cirstea has this.
Prediction: Cirsea in 2
