ATP Miami Day 7 Predictions Including Roger Federer vs Daniil Medvedev

Roger Federer

The second Tuesday at the Miami Open is typically one of the best days of the tournament. All 16 remaining men are in action including Novak Djokovic during the day and Roger Federer at night.

ATP Miami Day 7 Predictions

Nick Kyrgios vs Borna Coric
H2H- Kyrgios leads 2-1

If this upcoming match is anything like their last matchup in Cincinnati, it will definitely be worth watching. Kyrgios advanced to the round of 16 with a controversial win over Dusan Lajovic. If Kyrgios can continue playing the way he has been he should win, but I don’t think Coric is going to get distracted by his antics. Kyrgios has had a nice run in Miami, but I don’t think he’ll get any further.
Prediction: Coric in 2

Novak Djokovic vs Roberto Bautista Agut
H2H- Djokovic leads 7-2

Novak Djokovic hasn’t played his best so far in Miami but is still finding ways to win. He’s up against Bautista Agut who got the better of Djokovic in Doha earlier this year. I have a hard time believing Bautista Agut is going to defeat Djokovic two straight times on a hard court, but he’ll keep it close. I expect Djokovic to play much better than his previous two matches and advance to the quarterfinals.
Prediction: Djokovic in 2

John Isner vs Kyle Edmund
H2H- 1-1

John Isner is going to have to start playing much better if he wants to have any chance at defending his 2018 Miami Open title. He escaped with a win over Albert Ramos but still hasn’t played his best tennis. Edmund defeated Milos Raonic to advance to the round of 16. Playing Raonic before Isner is perfect practice for playing against a big server, but I think Isner is going to get through in a close match.
Prediction: Isner in 3

Roger Federer vs. Daniil Medvedev
H2H- Federer leads 2-0

Roger Federer played well in his win over Filip Krajinovic, who can be a tricky opponent. It doesn’t get any easier as he’ll face next gen star Daniil Medvedev for a spot in the quarterfinals. Medvedev went the distance defeating Reilly Opelka in a third set tiebreaker. It should be closer than their last match in Basel (6-1 6-4), but I don’t think Medvedev has much of a chance here.
Prediction: Federer in 2
