The Florida Football Insiders Podcast, hosted by Jason Powers, is back for its third season on the College Gridiron Coast to Coast network. Powers once again is set to deliver weekly coverage of the state’s biggest college football programs, plus occasional NFL talk with the Jaguars, Buccaneers, and Dolphins.

This week’s episode features three top guests, each offering unique insight into Florida State, Miami, and USF football.

Culhane Says Noles Look To Rebound From Rough 2024 campaign

Powers opens with Jeff Culhane, the play-by-play voice of the Florida State Seminoles. After a tough 2-10 season in 2024, Colhane previews the Seminoles’ new look. He highlights quarterback Tommy Castellanos, who embraces the starting role, and the addition of Gus Malzahn as offensive coordinator. On defense, Colhane points to Tony White bringing energy and accountability. With a Week One clash against Alabama at a renovated Doak Campbell Stadium, Florida State faces a high-stakes start.

Hurricanes Playoff Chances Rest On Early Non-Cenference Matchups

Next, Jason welcomes Joe Zagacki, the longtime voice of the Miami Hurricanes. Entering Year Four with head coach Mario Cristobal, the Hurricanes are coming off a 10-win season. Zagacki breaks down the arrival of quarterback Carson Beck from Georgia and the team’s defensive makeover under coordinator Corey Heatherman. Miami opens with Notre Dame and later faces Florida, giving Hard Rock Stadium two marquee matchups that could define their playoff chances.

Bulls Face Meat Grinder Early

Finally, Jason turns to Joey Johnston, sideline reporter and veteran Tampa media figure, for a look at the USF Bulls. Head coach Alex Golesh enters Year Three, and quarterback Byron Brown returns healthy after injury. Johnston emphasizes the Bulls’ brutal non-conference stretch—Boise State, Florida, and Miami in consecutive weeks. He also provides updates on USF’s on-campus stadium, a project energizing the program’s fan base.
