Max Verstappen topped the timesheets for the third session in a row. The Dutchman led Sebastian Vettel, Kimi Raikkonen and Lewis Hamilton at the top. Just one-tenths of a second separated the top 4.
Max Verstappen Tops Leaderboard Again in FP3
The top 3 teams, Mercedes, Ferrari and Red Bull Racing, posted extremely close times on the hypersoft tyres in FP3. This indicates that the fight for pole position will be very close. The top teams might try to set the fastest time in Q2 on the ultrasoft tyres and start the race on the more durable tyres.
Optimism For Many
During the session a Force India team member was interviewed, being asked what they expect for the weekend. He said that he expected both cars will be “well into the points.” He also mentioned that Force India’s “cars and generally strong here (Canada).”
